Zangilan: World travelers have arrived in Zangilan, turning it into a new destination for those visiting Garabagh and East Zangezur. The expedition is led by Harry Mitsidis, a British citizen of Greek origin and the founder of the "NomadMania" club.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the travelers in Zangilan will observe the ongoing construction of the Horadiz-Agband highway and railway. This two-day visit includes 79 participants from 37 countries, representing the largest group of global travelers to visit Garabagh and East Zangezur so far.
"NomadMania" ranks world travelers by dividing the Earth into 1,301 regions, and Harry Mitsidis holds the top rank globally, having visited all these regions. Notably, "NomadMania" held its annual meeting in Azerbaijan for the first time, highlighting the significance of this visit.
The visit aims to promote the liberated territories under the framework of "dark tourism" and to showcase the extensive construction and restoration efforts currently underway. Between 2020 and 2025, 15 visits to Karabakh and East Zangezur were organized by major international traveler clubs; this trip marks the 16th visit.
