Baku: The 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) is playing a crucial role in the ongoing discussions on sustainable urban development, as highlighted by participant Dorah Marema. Speaking to AZERTAC, Marema emphasized the significance of the event amid the challenges posed by rapid global urbanization and increasing migration to cities, which place immense pressure on public services.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Marema pointed out the critical role the event plays in addressing issues related to urban growth and sustainability. She commended Azerbaijan's leadership in sustainability, particularly through its hosting of significant events like COP29. Marema also stressed the importance of green energy and sustainable transport systems, noting that these initiatives not only improve economic efficiency but also support environmental protection.
