Baku: Solutions-oriented journalism is identified as a key approach in reporting on urban challenges, noted Laura Puttkammer, a journalist from the 'Urban Solutions Journal,' during a special session for media representatives at the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Puttkammer emphasized that while all urban issues are addressed, the focus is on presenting learned lessons, real evidence, and critical perspectives, rather than simply uplifting stories. The aim is to delve into the reasons behind urban projects, such as the construction of playgrounds, the role of public participation, their significance to the city, and the financing methods involved. This approach transforms such topics into journalistic research rather than feel-good narratives.

Puttkammer highlighted that solutions-oriented journalism can inspire change across other cities, influencing mayors, city workers, and architects. The intention is not to promote any organization or political stance but to empower individuals by providing constructive yet critical content.
