Xi Jinping Invited to Moscow’s 80th Victory Day Celebrations


Moscow: Russia has extended an invitation to Chinese President Xi Jinping to attend the 80th anniversary celebrations of victory over Nazi Germany, scheduled to be held in Moscow on May 9, 2025. This announcement was made by Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov following a video conference between Russian and Chinese leaders.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during their conversation, President Putin and President Xi discussed plans for their collaborative efforts in 2025, a significant year marking the 80th anniversary of victory for both nations. The Kremlin aide highlighted that both countries have planned extensive celebrations for the occasion.



Russia has invited numerous heads of states to the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, with a special invitation extended to the Chinese president. The event underscores the ongoing collaboration and strong ties between Russia and China, as both nations prepare to commemorate this historic milestone together.
