BAKU: Yelo Bank, in collaboration with Liv Bona Dea Hospital, organized a “Breast Cancer Awareness Day” seminar to underscore the importance of early detection and regular screenings in the fight against breast cancer. The seminar featured insights from a renowned oncologist and is part of the bank’s broader initiative to prioritize employee health and well-being.

According to Trend News Agency, the seminar aligns with the global observance of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The World Health Organization reports that breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, with approximately 2.3 million new cases each year worldwide. The risk factors include age, family history, hormonal changes, and lifestyle, with one in eight women at risk of developing the disease.

In addition to the seminar, Yelo Bank has launched a series of health initiatives for its employees. These include free health checks covering eye exams, vitamin D levels, blood sugar, and thyroid function. The bank also offers wellness
sessions and regular yoga classes led by medical experts to promote a healthy work-life balance.
