Izmir: From June 17 to 19, young media representatives participated in a comprehensive visit to Trkiye, organized as part of the Energy Dialogue Platform's series of information sessions. This initiative aimed to provide them with an in-depth understanding of the energy sector and the operations of SOCAR Trkiye.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the visit commenced in Istanbul, where the participants were welcomed at SOCAR's office. Here, Mikayil Yusifov, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Communications and Government Relations of SOCAR Trkiye, delivered an informative session. He elaborated on the company's wide-ranging activities in Trkiye, ongoing projects, significant achievements, and strategic objectives. The young media representatives had the opportunity to engage with Yusifov, posing questions that were thoroughly addressed.

The following day, the group traveled to Izmir, attending another session at SOCAR Trkiye's administrative building in Aliaga. Ahmet Glhan, Deputy Head of Finance of SOCAR Trkiye's Refining and Petrochemicals Business Unit, provided insights into the operations at the Petkim petrochemical complex and the STAR Refinery. He discussed their expanding production capacities and future project plans.

Additionally, Uygun Degirmenci, General Manager of SOCAR Terminal, highlighted the terminal's operations and the strategic enhancements in logistics capabilities. He outlined the company's key achievements and the measures taken to improve efficiency and service quality in cargo transportation.

Mehmet zenbas, Corporate Director for Sustainability and HSE at SOCAR Trkiye, underscored the importance of environmental, social, and corporate governance approaches in modern business. He shared information on the sustainability projects undertaken by SOCAR Trkiye, focusing on operational efficiency and digital solutions applied across their facilities.

The session concluded with a dynamic question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to delve deeper into the topics discussed. Field visits were subsequently organized to the Petkim petrochemical complex, the STAR Refinery, and SOCAR Terminal, where the young journalists observed the facilities' operational activities and advanced technological capabilities firsthand.
