Zakir Hasanov’s Official Tour of Georgian Military Facilities

Tbilisi: Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, recently embarked on a notable visit to Georgia, where he inspected various military facilities. His visit was accompanied by key Georgian military officials, reflecting the collaborative defense relations between the two neighboring countries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the visit included significant engagements with Georgia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Irakli Chikovani, as well as the Commander of the Georgian Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili. A highlight of the tour was a visit to the Mukhrovani base of the Special Operations Command, which bears the name of Major Gela Chedia.

During the visit to the military base, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and his delegation received an extensive briefing on the operations and infrastructure of the facility. The Azerbaijani delegation was introduced to the amenities and operational conditions at the base and viewed an exhibition of weapons and military equipment. The visit underscores the ongoing military cooperation and exchange of expertise between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
