SHUSHA: The Zangezur corridor will form an important part of the North-South and East-West corridors, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev said during the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Shusha, Trend reports. He noted that it is necessary to take important actions in the field of transportation. Omuraliyev, in this regard, emphasized the importance of the Middle Corridor between Asia and Europe. To note, the Zangezur Corridor project proposed by Azerbaijan is aimed at establishing a transportation link between the main territory of Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, passing through the territory of Armenia. This project emerged in the course of the implementation of the agreements set out in the trilateral statement signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia in 2020.
