Baku: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed Azerbaijan as the venue for forthcoming negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. Zelenskyy expressed this intent during a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, emphasizing the potential for strong cooperation in the defense industry and security sectors.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Zelenskyy highlighted previous diplomatic efforts, mentioning talks in various formats, including trilateral discussions in Trkiye and meetings with American partners in Geneva. He noted that if Russia opts for diplomacy, Azerbaijan would be a suitable location for the negotiations.
