Baku:The 10th anniversary Azerbaijan Grand Prix commenced with an opening ceremony at the Baku City Circuit, featuring a performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the anthem was performed by Yusif Eyvazov, a People's Artist of Azerbaijan and a world-renowned tenor, setting an emotional tone before the start of the main race.
As the ceremony concluded, attention shifted to the star drivers poised to compete. The winner of this year's Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be decided after an intense 51-lap race, with one driver ultimately claiming the top position on the podium and lifting the main trophy.
The trophy itself is a unique creation, incorporating a flame image that symbolizes Azerbaijan's reputation as the 'Land of Fire.' Additionally, it features patterns inspired by Azerbaijani carpet-weaving traditions, blending the exhilaration of Formula 1 with the country's rich cultural heritage.
With the formalities complete, anticipation builds as the drivers prepare to race, eager to determine who will cross the finish line first at the Baku City Circuit.
