Baku: On May 6, 2025, 17 Azerbaijani citizens were readmitted from the Federal Republic of Germany as part of the ‘Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union on the Readmission of Persons Residing without Authorization,’ APA reports, citing the State Migration Service’s Press Office.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a Reintegration Working Group has been established to address the needs of these individuals. This group, coordinated by the State Migration Service and comprising representatives from various state bodies, is focused on resolving the challenges encountered by the readmitted citizens. Their efforts aim to facilitate an effective and sustainable socio-economic reintegration into Azerbaijani society for those returning.
The initiative underscores the commitment of Azerbaijani authorities to uphold the terms of international agreements and provide support systems for their citizens returning from abroad. The Reintegration Working Group is actively working to ensure that the transition back to Azerbaijan is as smooth as possible, ultimately aiming to integrate these individuals back into the community and economy effectively.
