Hanoi: ‘The relations between our countries (Vietnam and Azerbaijan – ed.) have been consistently strengthened by the heads of state and our peoples,’ said To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, during a press statement with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, significant results have been achieved between Vietnam and Azerbaijan across various sectors, including political, diplomatic, energy, defense, and trade. These accomplishments have paved the way for the adoption of a Joint Statement on establishing a strategic partnership, marking the beginning of a new era in the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The General Secretary expressed confidence in the potential for deepening and expanding the bilateral relations in the near future, emphasizing the importance of utilizing mutual advantages for development. The strategic partnership is expected to further consolidate the strong foundations laid by the leaders and peoples of both nations.
