Baku: A total of 1,899 people have been evacuated from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan from 08:00 on February 28 to 18:00 on March 8.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the evacuees include 314 Azerbaijani citizens.

The operation also facilitated the evacuation of foreign nationals from various countries. Notably, 538 individuals from China, 290 from Russia, 173 from Tajikistan, and 123 from Pakistan were among those evacuated. Additionally, the evacuees included 57 from Oman, 44 from Italy, 32 from Indonesia, 26 from Spain, and 26 from Iran. Smaller groups included 18 from Saudi Arabia, 17 from Japan, and 16 from France, among others.

Further breakdown of the figures shows that other nationals evacuated included 14 from Germany, 13 from Georgia, 12 from Uzbekistan, 10 each from Bulgaria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Nigeria, and 8 each from Brazil and Great Britain. Smaller groups from Kazakhstan, Belarus, the UAE, Slovakia, Canada, and several other countries were also part of the evacuation efforts.

The comprehensive evacuation figures also included citizens from countries with fewer than five evacuees, such as Nepal, Lebanon, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, and others, with one individual each from countries such as Poland, Tunisia, South Africa, and the United States, highlighting the broad international scope of the operation.
