19 Wells to be Drilled in ACG This Year

Baku: Last year, 19 wells were drilled in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, BP’s Vice President for Wells in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye, Russell Morris said at the “IADC Drilling Caspian 2025” drilling conference held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 18 wells were originally planned to be drilled in the ACG field last year, but the operations concluded with the successful completion of 19 wells. Russell Morris has confirmed that a similar target of 19 wells has been set for this year in the ACG field.

The ACG field block continues to be a focal point for drilling activities, with efforts aimed at maintaining production levels in this significant energy region. The ongoing plans reflect the strategic importance of the ACG field in the broader context of regional energy production and supply.
