Baku: BP has announced its plan to drill five production wells this year at the Azeri Central East (ACE) platform, which is part of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oil field. Russell Morris, BP’s Vice President for Wells in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye, shared this information with journalists, as reported by APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, three wells were drilled from the ACE platform last year, and the fourth well is currently in progress. Morris stated that the company aims to complete the drilling of four wells and begin drilling an additional well by the end of this year.
The last well to be initiated on the ACE platform this year will bring the total number to eight, marking a significant development in BP’s operations in the region.
