Baku: The Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall hosted the opening gala concert for the 1st Kurultai of Composers of the Turkic World on September 18. This event was part of the 18th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival and featured an array of compositions from various countries within the Turkic world.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the concert commenced with the 'Overture' from Uzeyir Hajibeyli's opera "Koroghlu." The performance was delivered by the Uzeyir Hajibeyli Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Fuad Ibrahimov. The orchestra was joined by Hungarian violinist S¡ndor L¡szl³, flautist Nijat Salmanov, and oboist Alim Sadikhov as soloists, providing a rich and varied musical experience.

The program continued with the overture from Muslim Magomayev's opera "Shah Ismayil," arranged by Gara Garayev. The audience also enjoyed the duet 'By the Spring' from A. Rahimkulova's ballet "Kozy Korpesh-Bayan Sulu," and Murat Begaliyev's "Festive Overture." Notable performances included Gulbey's 'Rhapsody' for flute, oboe, and orchestra, R. Nepesov's 'Yunus,' R. Abdullayev's 'Love Song,' and S. Laszlo's 'Transylvanian Dance' for violin and orchestra.
