Azerbaijani FM: Issues regarding EU’s mission sent to Armenia should be agreed with Azerbaijan

“For two months, the mission of the EU consisting of 40 civilians was supposed to monitor the undemarcatedArmenian-Azerbaijani border. This mission was completed on December 19,” Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov said at the press conference dedicated to the results of 2022, APA reports.

 

Jeyhun Bayramov said that reports regarding the results of the mission weren’t presented to Azerbaijan: “At the same time, we know that the planning phase of the new mission by the EU is being carried out. These experts implement new planning regarding the new mission, Issues regarding this mission should be negotiated with the Azerbaijani side. Despite the mission being in Armenian territory, since it is in the direction of the Azerbaijani border, there should be information exchange with the Azerbaijani side”.

Georgian PM unveiled cost of Black Sea submarine electricity cable project

Implementation of the Black Sea submarine electricity cable project will cost USD 2-3 bn, said Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.

 

Stressing that the project is an initiative of Georgia, Garibashvili added that the length of the electricity cable will be 1,100 kilometers.

 

The Georgian PM highlighted that this project is the “second Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan project”.

 

Notably, the Agreement on a strategic partnership in the field of green energy development and transmission between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary was signed in Bucharest, Romania.

Vehicles of Russian peacekeepers unimpededly passed through Khankandi-Lachin road

Unimpeded passage of the civil vehicles from Khankendi-Lachin road where the peaceful protest action is held against the illegal exploitation of useful deposits in the territories under temporary control of the Russian peacekeepers continues, APA’s correspondent assigned to Shusha reports.

 

2 more civil vehicles belonging to Russian peacekeeping contingent passed through Lachin road towards Azerbaijan’s Khankandi.

 

A condition was created for the free and unimpeded movement of the automobiles from the place where the action is being held.

 

The protestors pulled out of the road and opened a corridor for the passage of vehicles.

Construction of a number of infrastructure facilities in White City completed, President got acquainted with the work done-UPDATED

The construction of a number of buildings, highways and other infrastructure works have been completed at the Central Park Quarter of Baku White City, APA reports.

 

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has viewed the works done here, and laid the foundation stone for the Baku White City Karabakh Horses Complex.

 

Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Highway State Agency Saleh Mammadov and Executive Director of the Baku White City project Ruslan Sadikhov informed the head of state of the works done in the Quarter.

 

The Karabakh Horses Square is located in the center of the Karabakh Horses Street, surrounded by eight-story residential buildings with modern facades.

 

President Ilham Aliyev planted a tree in the Karabakh Horses Square.

 

The head of state then laid the foundation stone for the Baku White City Karabakh Horses Complex.

 

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the Karabakh Horses sculpture complex was installed in the center of the square. The Karabakh Horses sculpture complex is dedicated to the Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, which resulted in the liberation of the Karabakh lands of Azerbaijan from 30 years of occupation. American sculptor Robert Summers was involved in the preparation of the complex consisting of seven Karabakh horses.

 

All conditions were created for the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the Karabakh Horses Street.

 

President Ilham Aliyev toured the Central Park Quarter of Baku White City by bus.

Ruslan Sadikhov: Mashallah, Mr. President, all the foundations you have laid are successful. The White City is one of them. It is known worldwide as both a successful and a large environmental project. It is also highly trusted by the residents of Baku.

 

The head of state was also informed about the works to be done in the next years as part of the Baku White City project.
