Baku: A total of 2,283 individuals have been successfully evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan during the period from 08:00 on February 28 to 08:00 on March 12.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this operation included 395 Azerbaijani citizens among those evacuated.
The evacuees represented a wide array of nationalities. Among them were 685 citizens from China, 293 from Russia, 174 from Tajikistan, 140 from Pakistan, and 68 from Indonesia. Additionally, 57 individuals hailed from Oman, 44 from Italy, 29 from Iran, and 26 from Spain.
The evacuation effort also saw 25 Algerians, 18 Saudis, and smaller groups from various countries including Japan, France, Germany, Georgia, Nigeria, and Hungary. Citizens from Poland, Uzbekistan, Switzerland, Mexico, Belarus, and several other nations were also part of this extensive operation.
The list further included individuals from countries such as the United Kingdom, Brazil, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Slovakia, Belgium, Romania, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Afghanistan, Austria, India, and others. Additionally, there were evacuees from Jordan, Bangladesh, Trkiye, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United States, Finland, and the Netherlands.
The evacuation extended to citizens from Qatar, the Philippines, Croatia, Denmark, Australia, Nepal, Lebanon, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Sweden, Sudan, Cyprus, and Slovenia. The operation also included single citizens from countries like Tunisia, South Africa, the Maldives, Myanmar, Cuba, the Vatican, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Egypt, and Belize.
