Baku: The 2nd Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Media Forum, themed ‘Digital Transformation and Media,’ was recently held in Baku, highlighting the growing cooperation between the two nations in the media sector.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the forum included panel sessions on ‘Media Partnership in the Digital Age: Joint Initiatives Towards Information Security’ and ‘Ethical Responsibility in the Digital Information Environment.’

Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, welcomed participants and noted the enhanced historical ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, attributing this to the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan. Discussions centered on expanding cooperation between media organizations during digital transformation, forming joint initiatives for information security, combating disinformation, and strengthening partnerships between state institutions and media entities.

Speakers at the forum stressed the strategic importance of information security in today’s world, emphasizing the need for global coordination and cooperation. The session concluded with a Q and A segment, where speakers fielded questions and shared insights on the discussed topics.

The forum, organized by the Media Development Agency, concluded with a video presentation on Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan media cooperation, marking another milestone in fostering bilateral media relations.
