3.2% of credit investments in Azerbaijan are problematic

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has published a statistical bulletin on the results of January-November 2022.

 

The document says that at the end of November, the amount of overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 641.3 million manats.

 

This is down by 0.7% from the end of October.

 

Note that problematic loans in the country dropped by 10.9% as compared to the end of ther last year and by 18.4% over the past year.

 

A share of loans overdue as of December 1 this year in the total loan portfolio amounted to 3.2%. On November 1, this index stood at 3.2%, on January 1-4.2%, and on December 1 last year -4.7%.

Insurance market of Azerbaijan grew by 14%

 

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has published an insurance review on the results of January-November 2022.

 

The document says that over 11 months the Azerbaijani insurers collected 875.1 million manats of insurance premiums and made 400.95 million manats of insurance payments.

 

This is up by 14% and down by 6.7%, respectively, from the same period of the last year.

 

In the reviewed period, out of every 100 manats of insurance premiums collected on the insurance market, 45.8 manats were paid. Over the same period of the last year, this figure stood at 56 manats
