Baku: A total of 3,146 people have been evacuated from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan from 08:00 on February 28 to 10:00 on March 31. Among those evacuated, 551 are Azerbaijani citizens.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the evacuees include a significant number of international citizens. The largest groups among them are 728 Chinese citizens, followed by 354 Russians, and 198 Bangladeshis. Other evacuees include 196 from India, 187 from Tajikistan, and 148 from Pakistan. The evacuation also involved 84 Omanis and 68 Indonesians, demonstrating a wide range of nationalities affected by the situation.

Furthermore, the list of evacuees includes 61 Iranians, 55 Algerians, and 44 Italians. Citizens from various other countries such as Spain, Canada, Germany, France, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and Uzbekistan were also part of the evacuation effort. Notably, 11 citizens each from Mexico, the United States, and Belarus were evacuated, alongside 10 from the United Kingdom and several other nationalities.

Additionally, smaller groups from countries such as Sudan, Venezuela, the UAE, Slovakia, Belgium, and Romania were part of the evacuation. There were also five evacuees each from countries like Trkiye, Finland, Serbia, and Australia. The operation included individuals from a diverse range of nations, reflecting the widespread impact of the current circumstances in Iran.

This large-scale evacuation also saw citizens from countries like Jordan, the Philippines, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, and Kuwait being transported to safety. Smaller numbers from countries such as Qatar, Croatia, Denmark, and Norway were also included. The operation even extended to a single evacuee each from Tunisia, South Africa, the Maldives, Cuba, and several other nations.
