Cholpon-ata: On July 31, the 3rd meeting of the Interstate Council of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan was held in the city of Cholpon-Ata with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, APA's correspondent dispatched to Kyrgyzstan reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting underscored the deep-rooted historical and spiritual connections between the two countries. President Sadyr Zhaparov expressed his sincere gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for accepting the invitation and highlighted the remarkable development of Azerbaijan under Aliyev's leadership. Zhaparov emphasized the absence of unresolved issues between the two nations and the emergence of an atmosphere of complete trust and openness, paving the way for strategic partnerships across various sectors including transport, energy, and education.

President Ilham Aliyev, in his address, expressed admiration for Kyrgyzstan's socio-economic achievements and acknowledged the significant role of President Zhaparov in these developments. Aliyev also expressed gratitude for Kyrgyzstan's assistance in the reconstruction of Garabagh and highlighted the successful humanitarian cooperation between the two nations. He mentioned the inauguration of projects like the five-star Baku Hotel at Issyk-Kul as a testament to the growing tourism and infrastructure collaboration.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to elevating bilateral relations to an alliance level, reflecting the strong bond between the two countries. The meeting concluded with the anticipation of signing the Treaty on Allied Relations, marking a new stage in the development of Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani engagement, aimed at enhancing the welfare of both nations.
