Baku: A concerning number of children in Azerbaijan are currently on the waiting list for organ transplants, with 459 young patients in need of life-saving procedures.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the latest statistics for 2025 reveal that only 28 children have successfully received organ transplants. This data, provided by the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation, highlights the pressing demand for organ donations to support the remaining children who are still waiting.
