Azerbaijan Set to Ratify CIS Agreement on Public Health Emergency Cooperation

Baku: Azerbaijan will approve the agreement on cooperation among CIS member states in preventing and responding to sanitary-epidemiological emergencies in the field of public health, APA reports. This development signifies a step forward in Azerbaijan’s collaborative efforts with other CIS countries to address public health challenges.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decision to ratify the agreement was included in the agenda of the meeting of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations. The meeting is scheduled to take place on September 10. The agreement underscores the commitment of CIS member states to enhance their collective response to public health emergencies, ensuring coordinated efforts in managing sanitary-epidemiological risks.
