The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly noted that 17 international symposiums and conferences were held in the department, more than a thousand books, albums, monographs, theses and articles were published, 37 patents were obtained, 4 international and 4 grant projects were won. . There are 6 research institutions, as well as a scientific library and publishing house in the structure of the department. 2 of the researchers in the department are academicians, 4 are corresponding members of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, 4 are doctors of sciences, 51 are doctors of philosophy, and 57 are doctoral students and dissertators. At present, the Nakhchivan Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has 2 Dissertation Councils in 4 specialties. During these years, 27 international and 7 local archeological expeditions were organized in the autonomous republic and the activity was successful.

The academician noted that about 25 employees of the Nakhchivan Branch join the teaching process in higher education institutions and successfully lead students’ diploma works and master’s dissertations. In 2020-2021, 3 republics, 13 autonomous republics, 31 Nakhchivan Branch level conferences, 15 events, 23 books and monographs were presented, documents on Ilanlidag geopark were developed and books were prepared. Contacts have been established with employees of more than 20 enterprises in 12 foreign countries. Ismayil Hajiyev thanked the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly on behalf of the staff and intellectuals of the autonomous republic for the attention and care.
