To date, a total of 10 mass graves have been discovered and the process is ongoing, Habib Mikayilli, the sector head of the foreign policy affairs department of the Presidential Administration, said this at a briefing dedicated to the problem of missing persons in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

“The threat of landmines greatly hinders us in finding possible grave sites,” he added.

The head of the sector also touched on the issue of identification of the remains.

“As a result of the identification of the remains, the fate of 15 people became known. This is a very serious issue. This proves once again that no one who took a step for the sovereignty of Azerbaijan is forgotten.”
