Baku: A meeting between Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of ‘Azerbaijan Railways’ CJSC (ADY) and Oleg Belozyorov, Director General and Chairman of the Management Board of ‘Russian Railways’ JSC, has led to a new agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation through digital data sharing. The meeting addressed issues crucial to the development and efficiency of railway cooperation between the two countries.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing mutual interaction between the railway administrations, improving the efficiency of transportation routes, and ensuring the safety of transportation processes. Key topics included the digitalization of freight transport, the application of digital solutions, the acceleration of information exchange, and the optimization of the logistics chain.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was signed for the bilateral electronic exchange of information between ‘Azerbaijan Railways’ CJSC and ‘Russian Railways’ JSC. This agreement is set to significantly enhance the efficiency of freight transportation and facilitate the implementation of digital document circulation, marking a significant step in the cooperation between the two railway administrations.
