Rasht: Construction work on the Rasht-Astara railway is expected to begin next year after the Nowruz Holiday, Jabbar Ali Zakeri, head of ‘Iran Railways,’ told journalists, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, it is expected that 3 million tons of cargo will be transported via the Rasht-Astara railway in the short term, and 15 million tons in the long term.
