Baku: Muthoni Brian Nqiqi, editor at the Africa Climate Affairs Bureau, expressed optimism about the outcomes of discussions held at the World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13) hosted by Azerbaijan. The forum serves as a platform to address urbanization challenges faced by populations affected by colonialism, injustices, inequalities, and housing shortages, with a focus on securing affordable and decent housing in Global South countries.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nqiqi highlighted the global nature of the housing problem, stating that countries in the Global North could also benefit from the sessions and discussions at the forum. The event, titled 'Injustices and Housing Crisis Caused by Colonial Governance,' was organized by the Baku Initiative Group (BIG). Nqiqi expressed confidence that the discussions would shape the future positively and lead to successful outcomes.
