Baku: Agro Dairy has taken a significant step in its digital transformation journey by becoming the first company in Azerbaijan's agricultural sector to successfully transition to the SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition ERP system based on the RISE with SAP model.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Elnur Aliyev, Board Member and Chief Financial Officer, stated that the decision to adopt an ERP system was driven by a strategic need arising from the company's rapid growth and expanding business operations. He noted that consolidating financial and operational processes from disparate systems onto a unified platform, enabling faster access to data, and enhancing management transparency were among the company's top priorities.
"As the company grew, the need to manage all processes through a single system became increasingly apparent. For this reason, we evaluated various technology solutions and selected the SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition ERP platform - a solution with a proven track record in international practice," said Elnur Aliyev.
The project is regarded as a strategic modernization milestone that strengthens business process integration and enables a transition to a real-time, data-driven decision-making model. Following an implementation phase of approximately 10 months, the system was successfully brought into live operation, with core business processes consolidated within the ERP environment, replacing previously fragmented systems with an integrated solution.
The project scope encompassed the implementation of key SAP modules, including Finance (FI), Management Accounting and Cost Control (CO), Budget Management (FM), Procurement (MM), Sales (SD), Human Capital Management (HCM / SAP SuccessFactors), and Inventory Management (IM).
Elnur Aliyev further noted that the SAP ERP and digital transformation initiative has received international recognition. Agro Dairy's SAP S/4HANA ERP PCE and SuccessFactors-based transformation program was named the winner in the 'Business Transformation - Enterprise Solutions' category at the SAP Quality Awards 2025 CEE competition organized by SAP.
"This award serves as formal recognition that our project was executed in accordance with international standards, with high quality and professionalism. It also demonstrates that all phases of the project were carried out correctly and consistently within the framework of SAP's 10 Quality Principles," he stated.
The project was delivered through the coordination of Agro Dairy's internal teams in collaboration with partners possessing international implementation expertise. T4Data served as the primary ERP implementation partner, while Vesacons acted as the partner for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solutions.
As part of the HR digitalization initiative, the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution was initially deployed at Agro Dairy and subsequently rolled out to the company's Grain Processing business unit based on the established model.
Kamran Hummatov, ERP Project Lead at Agro Dairy, stated that this initiative marks the beginning of a new chapter in the company's innovation-driven growth strategy.
"Today, we are already seeing the results of this effort reflected in our day-to-day operations. In the period ahead, the phased rollout of this modern technology platform to the company's other business units is planned. As a next step, we aim to further enhance operational efficiency and establish a fully digital foundation for decision-making by leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced analytics," said Kamran Hummatov.
