Ankara: Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency, highlighted the importance of solidarity among journalists from Turkic countries in combating disinformation. Addressing the Turkic States Forum on Combating Disinformation, Ismayilov stressed the critical role of media literacy in protecting the information environment of these nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ismayilov pointed out that integrating media literacy into educational systems at all levels is recognized internationally as an effective strategy. He expressed Azerbaijan’s willingness to cooperate and share its experiences with other Turkic states in this endeavor.

Ismayilov also emphasized the necessity for journalists across the Turkic world to unite in conveying accurate information about their countries to a global audience. He asserted that the voices of these nations will be more clearly heard if media outlets adhere to their professional responsibilities.
