Shusha: As part of the Days of Uzbek Culture in Azerbaijan, prominent figures of Uzbek art visited the city of Shusha, known as the pearl of Karabakh. The visit highlighted cultural connections and historical exploration in a city rich with artistic heritage.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the visitors examined monuments of renowned Azerbaijani art figures such as Khurshidbanu Natavan, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibayli, which bear bullet marks from past conflicts. These monuments, located at Shusha’s Central Square, had suffered damage during Armenian occupation.

The Uzbek art figures also explored significant sites including the house of Khurshidbanu Natavan, the ‘Khan gizi’ spring, the Walls of Shusha Fortress, and the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque. Each location offered insights into the cultural and historical legacy of Shusha, fostering deeper appreciation and understanding.

Visits like this play a crucial role in enhancing cultural ties and reinforcing the friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The closing ceremony of the Uzbek Days of Culture is scheduled to take place at the Secondary School No. 1 named after Mirzo Ulugbek in the city of Fuzuli, marking the end of a significant cultural exchange.
