Baku:In an exclusive interview, Adem Ibrahim, an AI strategist and Founder of the World AI Federation, emphasized that the primary objective of integrating AI should be to enhance human efficiency rather than replace them.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ibrahim highlighted several risks and limitations in incorporating Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) models into company operations. He pointed out concerns such as inconsistent outputs, data privacy issues, security challenges, and weak governance. He also warned against premature automation without confirming AI as the appropriate solution. Ibrahim advised that GPT models need to be implemented with clear controls, defined human accountability, oversight, and a measurable business case.
When discussing the balance between automation and human interaction in customer service, Ibrahim noted that automation is most effective for repetitive, predictable, and low-risk tasks. However, he stressed the importance of maintaining human involvement in complex, sensitive, and high-value customer interactions to ensure effective service.
Ibrahim also addressed the evolving skill set required for IT teams amid rapid AI advancements. He emphasized the growing importance of AI literacy, automation, API integration, cybersecurity, and data governance. The ability to design reliable AI workflows and a strong understanding of business problems to identify valuable AI applications were highlighted as critical competencies.
