Ilisu:The trail to Shahverdi Waterfall, starting from the village of Ilisu in the Gakh district, promises a unique adventure for nature enthusiasts. Known also as Gijal, this hidden gem of Azerbaijan is approximately 5 kilometers from Ilisu village.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the route to the waterfall poses a special challenge as it follows the riverbed of the Hamamchay River. Hikers must navigate boulders and wade through the river, enhancing the sense of adventure along the journey.

The path is surrounded by dense forests and massive rocks, offering breathtaking mountain vistas and the soothing sound of the river. At the hike's end, visitors are rewarded with a view of Shahverdi Waterfall, where waters cascade down rocks from an elevation of about 100 meters before merging with the river below and eventually joining the Gochyatag Waterfall.
