Baku: In Azerbaijan, 3,104.9 thousand passengers were transported by air from January to September this year, marking a 1.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported that state-owned vehicles were responsible for 99.9% of the passenger transportation during this period, while private enterprises accounted for a mere 0.1%.
Furthermore, the report highlighted a decline in cargo transportation by air. It decreased by 8% during the same reporting period, totaling 289.1 thousand tons. This decline contrasts with the increase in passenger numbers, indicating a shift in air transport dynamics within the country.
