Baku: Economic and trade relations are the key areas of relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan. Our countries are committed to fostering mutually beneficial trade. At the core of our economic partnership lie machine-building, agriculture, wood processing, food supply, pharmaceuticals, and mutual investment, Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich told AZERTAC.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ambassador Pinevich emphasized that the joint projects between Azerbaijan and Belarus will become the main trend of mutual trade and services in the near future. A significant project involves the assembly of Belarus machinery at the Ganja Automobile Plant, where 14,000 Belarus tractors have been assembled since 2007. In addition to tractors, the plant has also been involved in assembling combines, trucks, electric buses, and fire-rescue equipment.

This year marked the opening of an elevator manufacturing plant in Baku, based on the ‘Vertus’ company. The ambassador also revealed plans for the near future, which include launching a project for the production of municipal equipment on the basis of MAZ. There are also plans for production projects focused on mobile medical complexes and trade pavilions, targeting rural settlements and the Karabakh region.
