Baku: An event was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Azerbaijan to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day, APA reports. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Pakistan, members of the Pakistani community living in Azerbaijan, journalists, and other guests. The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Later, messages from the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day were broadcast.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Pakistan's Ambassador, Qasim Mohiuddin, emphasized that the international community should call on India to put an end to human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir. The ambassador expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support on the Jammu and Kashmir issue, affirming Pakistan's commitment to stand with the people of Kashmir in their quest for a free and impartial plebiscite.
He highlighted concerns over India's actions since August 5, 2019, which aimed at consolidating occupation through political, administrative, and demographic changes. The event concluded with an exhibition dedicated to the events in Jammu and Kashmir.
