Baku: Military aggression against Iran has taken place at a time when negotiations with the United States were ongoing, demonstrating contradictory policies amid diplomatic processes, Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, said at a press conference held at the embassy, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ambassador stated that the attacks carried out by the United States and Israel in the region are directed against Iran's sovereignty, and the measures taken by Iran are of a self-defense nature.

He emphasized that Iran's defensive actions are not aimed at regional countries, but are solely a response to military aggression.
