Ambassadors and Embassy Staff from Five Countries Evacuated from Iran via Azerbaijani Border

Baku: Ambassadors and embassy representatives from five countries in Iran have been evacuated to Azerbaijan, APA's southern bureau reports. The evacuation involved 16 diplomats from Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Belgium, and Switzerland, marking a coordinated effort to ensure their safe passage out of Iran.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the operation successfully transported the Hungarian ambassador along with seven embassy staff members, as well as two diplomats each from Slovenia and Romania, three from Belgium, and one from Switzerland. This group was evacuated through the Azerbaijani border, highlighting the cooperation between the involved nations and Azerbaijan.

In addition to the diplomats, seven Chinese citizens were also part of the evacuation, indicating a broader scope of the operation to include other nationals who required safe passage. This development underscores the ongoing diplomatic coordination in the region, utilizing Azerbaijan as a transit point for those exiting Iran.
