Baku: Pirated or counterfeit goods may now be surrendered to the state, APA reports. This development comes as a result of an amendment to the Customs Code that was discussed during a recent session of the Milli Majlis.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendment stipulates that when goods transported across the customs border are identified as pirated or counterfeit, the individual involved must either remove the goods from the customs territory, destroy them, or voluntarily surrender them to the state.
Following deliberations, the draft law was put to a vote and successfully adopted in the third reading by the legislative body.
