BAKU: Amendments to two key agreements between Azerbaijan and Belarus have been officially approved, marking a significant development in bilateral cooperation. President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has signed the relevant laws, facilitating updates to agreements focused on plant quarantine and protection, and veterinary medicine.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendments pertain to the “Protocol on additions and amendments to the Agreement dated 2 May 2007 on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus in the field of plant quarantine and protection,” as well as the “Protocol on additions and amendments to the Agreement dated 2 May 2007 on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus in the field of veterinary medicine.” Both protocols were signed in Baku on May 16, 2024.
