American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Baku

Baku: The captain of an American Airlines aircraft on the New Delhi-New York route requested an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The airport confirmed the request to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the emergency landing was prompted by a serious health issue experienced by a passenger on board. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner successfully landed in Baku at 02:30 local time.

Immediate medical aid was provided to the passenger on site, and a necessary medical evaluation is currently underway. The passenger’s condition is being monitored closely.

After completing the necessary procedures, the aircraft resumed its flight, taking off from Baku towards its revised destination of London at 10:31.
