Washington: Azerbaijan is significantly increasing its influence in international relations, particularly within the broader region, as noted by an American expert. Eric Rudenshiold, Research Director and Senior Fellow for Caspian Affairs at the Caspian Policy Center, made these remarks during an interview with AZERTAC on the occasion of the anniversary of the meeting of the leaders of the United States, Azerbaijan, and Armenia at the White House on August 8 last year.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rudenshiold emphasized the substantial growth in Azerbaijan's international relations over the past year. He highlighted the peace agreement and the strengthening of relations with the United States as key factors contributing to this development. Furthermore, he mentioned the ongoing progress on the TRIPP railway line in Armenia, which is expected to commence construction in the coming months. This railway line is anticipated to enhance the economic appeal and viability of the Middle Corridor for international investors and businesses.

Rudenshiold also pointed out the positive relations that are developing between Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting the increasing cooperation at lower levels, which he considers crucial for the implementation of peace. He referenced the C6 engagement in Cholpon-Ata as an example of Azerbaijan's expanding role in the region. From his perspective, this trend of growing influence is expected to continue, positioning Azerbaijan as a key player in regional affairs.
