Ammunition Explosion in Fuzuli District Injures Local Resident

FUZULI DISTRICT – An ammunition explosion in the village of Zyargyar, Fuzuli district, injured a local man on August 24 as he was engaged in construction work in an area not yet cleared of mines.

According to Trend News Agency, the explosion resulted in injuries to Raju Aslanov, born in 1978. He is reported to be in stable condition, with his life not at risk. The incident has prompted an investigation by the Fuzuli District Prosecutor’s Office. In response to this event, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), along with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office, has issued a reminder to the public about the importance of adhering to safety regulations. They emphasize the need for citizens to recognize mine hazard signs and to avoid entering areas that have not been cleared of explosive ordnance.
