Baku: The amnesty act will be applied to more than 10,000 individuals in connection with probation measures, specifically those penalties not involving imprisonment. This announcement was made by Vugar Agayev, the head of the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amnesty act is set to impact 7,000 people with sentences that restrict their freedom and an additional 3,000 individuals convicted of fines or corrective labor. This measure reflects a significant development in addressing penalties that do not involve incarceration.
