Baku: U.S. Charg© d'Affaires in Azerbaijan, Amy Carlon, emphasized the significance of the TRIPP route in ensuring Azerbaijan's unimpeded access to Nakhchivan, enhancing regional integration and East-West connectivity, and fostering economic benefits for Azerbaijan and the region. This statement was made in a video address shared on the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan's social media platforms, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Carlon highlighted the significant progress made by the TRIPP project over the past year and anticipated an acceleration in developments in the coming year. She also discussed the U.S.-Azerbaijan strategic partnership, recalling the Memorandum of Understanding signed on August 8, 2025, by President Donald Trump and President Ilham Aliyev, which aimed to elevate bilateral relations.

Carlon noted the continuation of this process with the U.S.-Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership Charter signed in February by U.S. Vice President James David Vance and President Aliyev during Vance's visit to Baku. This partnership has led to increased high-level mutual visits and collaborative efforts between the two countries.

The diplomat also mentioned a new Memorandum of Understanding on critical minerals cooperation signed in June, the inaugural U.S.-Azerbaijan Economic Dialogue, and commercial agreements worth billions of dollars signed by U.S. companies. "We are just getting started. There is much work ahead," Carlon stated.

Carlon stressed President Donald Trump's commitment to peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus, noting the achievements over the past year as a testament to the possibilities of collaboration. She expressed confidence that the U.S. and Azerbaijan will reach many more significant milestones together in the future.
