Baku: The Director of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Farhad Guliyev, announced significant findings regarding acts of culturicide in the liberated territories. He shared these insights during an international conference titled "Modern Approaches and Strengthening Cooperation in Resolving the Issue of Missing Persons," which was held in collaboration with the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Farhad Guliyev emphasized the pivotal role of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology in the work of the State Commission on determining the fate of missing persons. He highlighted that young specialists, particularly in the field of physical anthropology, have gained invaluable experience through the Commission's efforts. This, in turn, has significantly contributed to the advancement of anthropological studies in Azerbaijan.

Guliyev further explained that the archaeological and physical anthropological research conducted by the institute in the liberated territories has resolved numerous previously unanswered questions. He underlined the importance of these findings, drawing attention to acts of culturicide committed not only against Azerbaijani citizens but also against historical monuments in the region. These crimes have been meticulously documented, providing crucial evidence for future endeavors.
