Baku: President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Isa Habibbayli, engaged in a meeting with Ruan Cao, Director of the China Association for Science and Technology, along with his delegation. This meeting took place during the event commemorating the 1800th anniversary of the renowned Chinese mathematician Liu Hui in Baku.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, academician Isa Habibbayli addressed the gathering by highlighting the strategic partnership that has developed between Azerbaijan and China over the years. He also expressed Azerbaijan’s support for China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Habibbayli further noted that a significant delegation from China recently visited Azerbaijan to partake in the 80th anniversary celebrations of ANAS, where numerous productive discussions were held.

Ruan Cao extended his appreciation for the warm hospitality received. He also emphasized the significant role of the China Association for Science and Technology and expressed a keen interest in exploring collaborative opportunities with ANAS and Azerbaijani scientists across several fields.
