Baku: An international scientific conference titled 'Founders and Lessons of the First Turkological Congress: History and Modernity' is set to take place on February 27-28, 2026, at the Grand Assembly Hall of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) located on Istiglaliyyat Street, ANAS informed APA. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conference will feature reports by prominent scholars from Trkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and other countries, alongside Azerbaijan. The event aims to delve into the historical and modern aspects of the First Turkological Congress. Participants of the conference are also expected to engage in a symposium dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress at Khazar University, where they will deliver speeches. Additionally, attendees will visit the grave of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, at the Alley of Honor. It is noteworthy that President Ilham Aliyev signed an Order on October 22 of the previous year, commissioning the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.
