Parliamentary Commission Identifies Coordinated Hybrid Attacks Against Azerbaijan

Baku: The Commission on Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats of the Milli Majlis has issued a statement concerning hybrid attacks directed at Azerbaijan. The commission has investigated various factors underlying recent disinformation campaigns conducted against the nation across digital platforms and media channels. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the analysis and assessment identified that these activities are coordinated from a single center. The hybrid attacks, ongoing for over a year, are part of a multi-layered pressure strategy aimed at Azerbaijan. This strategy involves information manipulations intended to mislead public opinion, create societal polarization, and undermine trust in the state and its institutions. The statement highlights that Azerbaijan's full restoration of territorial integrity and strengthening of sovereign will under President Ilham Aliyev, alongside contributions to global energy security, transport corridor creation, independent regional development decisions, a nd international partnerships, have led to targeted campaigns and disinformation with baseless accusations. The Republic of Azerbaijan remains committed to defending its rights against hybrid threats and information disruption. In response to the disinformation campaign, the commission urges Azerbaijani citizens to reference and trust information from state bodies and officials.
